Submit and Print: Submit the form and download/print the filled application for your reference.
This is the most critical step, determining which college and specialization you will be considered for.
Understand the Process: Based on your final rank and the availability of seats, you must indicate your preferred colleges and courses.
Analyze Options: Review the available seat matrix and previous years' cut-offs to make informed choices.
Log In and Select: Log in to your counselling account. You will see a list of available options for which you are eligible (e.g., General Medicine at Assam Medical College, Pediatrics at Gauhati Medical College).
Order Your Preferences: Select the college and course combinations and arrange them in your preferred order of priority. There is usually no limit on the number of choices you can fill.
Review Your Choices: Double-check your list carefully. Ensure your most preferred option is at the top.
Lock Your Choices: This is crucial. Once you are satisfied with your list, you must lock your choices before the deadline. If you do not, the system may automatically lock your last saved choices, or worse, you might not be considered for allotment.
Take a Printout: Print the list of your locked choices for future reference.
Following the choice locking, the allotment process begins.
Merit List Generation: The authority will first verify documents (Step 4 of the image's process) and then publish provisional and final merit lists (Steps 5 and 6).
First Round Allotment: Based on your rank and locked choices, the system will allot you a seat. This is announced on the official website.
Acceptance and Payment: If you are happy with the allotted seat, you must formally accept it and pay the initial admission/token fee (Steps 10 and 12).
College Reporting: Report to the allotted medical college in person for physical document verification and to finalize the admission process (Step 11).
Subsequent Rounds: If you are not allotted a seat or want to upgrade your choice, you may participate in the second or mop-up rounds, following the same process of fresh choice filling/modification.
