Jharkhand NEET PG Counselling 2026 is the state-level counselling process for admission to Postgraduate Medical courses such as MD, MS, PG Diploma and DNB seats in Jharkhand.

The counselling is conducted by the Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) on the basis of the NEET PG 2026 result/rank. JCECEB's previous PG counselling notices specifically covered MD/MS/Diploma & DNB State Quota seats.

Important: As of August 26, 2026, the JCECEB website is publishing 2026 counselling notices for UG and MDS, while the latest PG Medical notices visible on its official portal relate to the NEET PG 2025 admission cycle. Therefore, the detailed NEET PG 2026 schedule, fee and specific document requirements should be confirmed from the 2026 PG notification once released.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates generally need to satisfy the following requirements:

1. NEET PG Qualification

Candidates must have qualified NEET PG 2026 and possess a valid NEET PG rank.

2. MBBS Degree

The candidate must hold an MBBS degree or provisional MBBS pass certificate recognized under the applicable medical education regulations.

3. Internship

Candidates must have completed the required one-year compulsory rotating internship by the deadline specified in the counselling notification.

4. Medical Registration

The candidate should have valid registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC) / State Medical Council, as applicable.

5. State Eligibility

For Jharkhand State Quota seats, candidates must satisfy the Jharkhand-specific domicile/state eligibility conditions prescribed by the competent authority.

Candidates applying for particular categories or seats may have additional requirements.

How to apply

Step 1 – Visit the Official Website

Go to the Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) website.

The official portal provides separate sections for Online Counselling 2026 and online application services.

Step 2 – Select PG Medical Counselling

Open the Online Counselling section and select the relevant Post Graduate Medical / NEET PG counselling link when the 2026 application window is activated.

Step 3 – Registration

Register using the required details, such as:

  • NEET PG Roll Number
  • NEET PG Application details
  • Date of Birth
  • Mobile Number
  • Email ID
  • Other information requested by JCECEB

Step 4 – Fill the Application Form

Enter your:

  • Personal details
  • Academic details
  • NEET PG details
  • Internship details
  • Registration details
  • Domicile/category information

Step 5 – Upload Documents

Upload the required certificates, photograph, signature and other documents according to the prescribed format and size.

Step 6 – Pay Counselling/Application Fee

Pay the applicable counselling/application fee through the available online payment method.

The exact 2026 fee should be taken from the official PG counselling notification rather than assuming the previous year's amount.

Step 7 – Submit the Form

Review all information carefully and submit the application form.

Download and save the final application/confirmation page.

Step 8 – State Merit List

JCECEB prepares/publishes the state merit list based on NEET PG performance and applicable eligibility criteria. Previous JCECEB PG counselling records include state merit lists and eligibility lists for NEET PG candidates.

Step 9 – Choice Filling & Locking

Eligible candidates participate in choice filling and select their preferred:

  • College
  • Course
  • Specialty
  • Seat category

Candidates should arrange choices carefully according to their preferred branch and college.

Step 10 – Seat Allotment

JCECEB publishes the seat allotment result. Previous PG counselling processes have included provisional seat allotment followed by subsequent counselling rounds.

Step 11 – Reporting & Admission

If a seat is allotted:

  1. Download the allotment letter.
  2. Report to the allotted college within the prescribed deadline.
  3. Complete document verification.
  4. Pay the required admission/tuition fee.
  5. Complete admission formalities.
