Andhra Pradesh NEET PG Counselling is the state-level counselling process for admission to postgraduate medical courses such as:

  • MD – Doctor of Medicine
  • MS – Master of Surgery
  • PG Diploma, where applicable

The counselling is conducted through Dr. N.T.R. University of Health Sciences (Dr. NTR UHS), Vijayawada, for the relevant Andhra Pradesh state counselling process. Eligibility Criteria

A candidate generally needs to satisfy the following:

Academic qualification

  • MBBS degree from a recognized medical institution.
  • Candidate must have qualified NEET-PG 2026.
  • Candidate must satisfy the applicable NEET-PG qualifying criteria.

Internship

The candidate must have completed the required one-year compulsory rotating internship by the deadline specified in the applicable NEET-PG/counselling notification.

Medical registration

Candidate should possess valid registration with:

  • National Medical Commission (NMC), or
  • State Medical Council

Andhra Pradesh eligibility

This is particularly important.

Not every candidate is automatically eligible for every Andhra Pradesh state-quota seat.

The AP counselling prospectus specifies local/non-local status and other eligibility conditions. Recent Dr. NTR UHS PG admission notifications specifically state that candidates from other states may not be eligible for certain Competent Authority Quota seats unless they satisfy the applicable local/non-local requirements.
