KARNATAKA NEET PG COUNSELLING 2026

Last Updated on August 26, 2026

Karnataka NEET PG counselling is conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) for admission to MD, MS and PG Diploma medical seats in Karnataka. Admission is based on the NEET-PG 2026 result/rank and the applicable Karnataka counselling rules.

Important: The official 2026 KEA counselling notification/dates should be checked before applying. I could not verify a final 2026 notification from the official KEA source in the search results, so the points below are based on the established Karnataka NEET-PG process and should be cross-checked against the 2026 notification.

🏛️ About Karnataka NEET PG Counselling

  • Conducting authority: Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA)
  • Course: MD / MS / PG Diploma
  • Entrance exam: NEET-PG 2026
  • Counselling mode: Online
  • Official counselling portal: KEA Official Website
  • Karnataka has government, private, deemed/other participating medical institutions depending on the seat category and counselling rules.
  • Candidates generally need to register with KEA, upload/enter documents, complete verification requirements, and participate in choice filling and seat allotment.

Eligibility Criteria

Generally, a candidate should:

  1. Have MBBS degree/provisional MBBS pass certificate from an NMC-recognized medical college.
  2. Have completed the required one-year compulsory rotating internship by the deadline specified in the NEET-PG/KEA notification.
  3. Be registered with NMC or the concerned State Medical Council.
  4. Have appeared in NEET-PG 2026 and obtained the qualifying status/rank required for counselling.
  5. Fulfil Karnataka-specific eligibility requirements for the particular seat/category being applied for.

Karnataka domicile is not necessarily required for every seat/category. Karnataka has different eligibility conditions for government, private, minority/NRI and other categories, so the exact 2026 KEA notification is important.
