Eligibility Criteria
Candidates should generally meet these requirements:

Step-by-Step Application Process
1. Check Eligibility
- Qualify NEET PG 2026.
- Possess a recognized MBBS degree.
- Complete the required one-year compulsory internship within the prescribed deadline.
- Have valid medical registration.
- Fulfil Punjab State Quota eligibility, where applicable. Previous Punjab rules included specific Punjab education/residency conditions for State Quota eligibility.

Go to NEET PG 2026 → MD/MS/PG Medical Counselling.
3. Register Online
Click the applicable Online Registration/Application link and enter:

- Category and quota information
4. Upload Documents
Typically keep scanned copies of:
- NEET PG Score Card
- NEET PG Admit Card

5. Pay the Application Fee
Pay the prescribed application fee through the BFUHS online payment system.
The fee is subject to the 2026 notification. For reference, the 2025 Punjab PG counselling notice used ₹5,900 for General candidates and ₹2,950 for SC/BC candidates, including GST.
6. Submit & Lock the Application
Before final submission:
- Verify all personal details.
- Check category/quota.
- Check uploaded documents.
- Submit/lock the application before the deadline.
Once the application is locked, corrections may not be permitted except where specifically allowed by BFUHS.
7. Check Merit List
BFUHS publishes the provisional/final merit list. Candidates should check their NEET PG rank and eligibility status.
8. Submit Willingness / Security Deposit
Where required for a particular counselling round, candidates must submit willingness and the prescribed security deposit. Punjab's 2025 process specifically required willingness with a security deposit for later rounds.
9. Fill College & Course Choices
Select your preferred:
- Medical College
- MD/MS Branch
- Course
- Category/Quota
Then submit and lock your preferences within the prescribed timeline.
10. Check Seat Allotment
Download the allotment result/letter if a seat is allotted.
11. Accept Seat & Report
Complete the required admission formalities and report to the allotted college with:

- Allotment letter
- Admission fee
- Required undertakings/bonds
