Jammu & Kashmir NEET PG Counselling 2026

Through this counselling, eligible NEET PG 2026 candidates can compete for postgraduate medical seats in participating J&K institutions.

Courses generally covered

  • MD – Doctor of Medicine
  • MS – Master of Surgery
  • Other PG medical courses/seats notified by JKBOPEE
  • Government and other participating institutions/seats according to the applicable counselling rules

The counselling typically involves registration → merit preparation → choice filling → seat allotment → document verification/reporting.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should generally fulfil the following conditions:

1. NEET PG Qualification

The candidate must have qualified NEET PG 2026 and possess a valid NEET PG score/rank.

2. MBBS Qualification

The candidate must have completed an MBBS degree/provisional MBBS qualification recognized by the competent medical authority.

3. Internship

The candidate must have completed the required one-year compulsory rotating internship by the date specified in the official NEET PG/JKBOPEE notification.

4. Medical Registration

The candidate must possess valid registration with the appropriate medical council/NMC or State Medical Council, as applicable.

5. J&K Eligibility/Domicile

For seats subject to J&K-specific eligibility, the candidate must satisfy the domicile/residency and other conditions prescribed by the J&K authorities.

6. Category Eligibility

Candidates claiming reservation or special categories must possess the relevant valid certificate according to the prescribed format and validity requirements.

Important: Do not assume that every J&K PG seat has identical domicile requirements. The 2026 BOPEE prospectus/notification will determine eligibility for each category of seat.

  3. MBBS Degree Certificate
  4. MBBS All-Year Mark Sheets
  5. Internship Completion Certificate
  6. Permanent/Provisional Medical Registration Certificate
  7. 10th Class Certificate/Mark Sheet – DOB proof
  8. 12th Class Certificate/Mark Sheet, if required
  9. J&K Domicile Certificate, where applicable
  10. Category Certificate – SC/ST/OSC/RBA/ALC/IB, etc., where applicable
  11. EWS Certificate, if applicable
  12. PwD Certificate, if applicable
  13. Aadhaar Card/valid government photo ID
  14. Recent passport-size photograph
  15. Candidate's signature
  16. Migration/Transfer Certificate, if required
  17. NOC, wherever applicable
  18. Any additional undertaking/certificate specifically requested by JKBOPEE.

Keep both scanned copies and originals because documents may be required during verification/admission.

How to apply

Step 1: Visit the Official JKBOPEE Website

Step 2: Open NEET PG Counselling

Go to the Online Counselling / Medical Courses section and select the NEET PG 2026 counselling link once it is activated.

Step 3: Register

Enter the required details, which may include:

  • NEET PG roll/application details
  • NEET PG rank/score
  • Date of birth
  • Mobile number
  • Email ID
  • Personal details

Step 4: Fill the Application Form

Enter:

  • Personal information
  • MBBS details
  • Internship details
  • Medical registration details
  • Domicile information
  • Category information
  • NEET PG details

Step 5: Upload Documents

Upload the photograph, signature and certificates according to the file size and format specified by JKBOPEE.

Step 6: Pay the Counselling/Application Fee

Pay the prescribed fee through the online payment facility.

The exact 2026 fee should be taken from the official NEET PG 2026 notification rather than using a previous year's fee.

Step 7: Submit the Form

Check every detail carefully and submit the application.

JKBOPEE has an online counselling system through its official portal.

Step 10: Seat Allotment

Seats are allotted according to:

NEET PG merit + candidate choices + seat availability + applicable reservation/eligibility rules.

Step 11: Reporting

After receiving a seat allotment:

  1. Download the allotment letter.
  2. Report to the allotted institution within the specified deadline.
  3. Complete document verification.
  4. Pay the prescribed admission fee.
  5. Complete joining/admission formalities.
